Agility/ weight sleds test and improve fitness, endurance, pulling power and performance of an athlete. Weighting of a sledge will depend on an athlete’s age, current fitness and endurance level… As they built on their levels of strength, fitness and endurance, the longer, further and heavier weights will be able to be pulled by an athlete. Weighting of a sledge can also be focused on either acceleration over shorter distances with weights being used accordingly for the relevant exercises or adjusting the weights to try and improve stamina over longer distances.
